Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a Site Engineer Electrical PV to oversee all electrical aspects of our solar project on-site, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality execution of electrical works at a large-scale solar power plant.

The role involves supervising installation of electrical systems, coordinating with civil, mechanical and project teams, liaising with subcontractors and authorities, and ensuring compliance with design specs, standards, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6-12 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems for large-scale solar plants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical engineering activities on-site.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems including inverters, transformers, cabling, PV panels and grid connections.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project management teams for integration.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Prepare and submit reports on status of electrical installations.
• Identify potential electrical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Coordinate with local authorities for permits and approvals.
