Job summary

Ultiwise Consult seeks a Draughtsman (Civil/MEP) to produce precise engineering drawings for water and wastewater projects. You will work closely with engineers and site teams to ensure compliance with local standards and project specs.

The role requires 4–5 years UAE/GCC drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit. Strong detail, organization, and communication skills are essential for success on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related drafting field.
• 4–5 years UAE/GCC experience in civil drafting for water/wastewater projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); Revit preferred; knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong reading of drawings and attention to standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil drawings and shop drawings including reinforcement/steel layouts.
• Create as-built drawings and revise drawings from site inputs and RFIs.
• Translate sketches into CAD drawings per standards and client specs.
• Coordinate revisions with engineers, manage transmittals and version control.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE/local authority standards and tolerances.
• Develop layout plans for setting out excavation, shoring, and foundations.
• Review sub-contractor drawings and provide technical comments.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and input to BOQs as required.

Draughtsman (Civil / MEP) Job Description

Job brief We are seeking a detail-oriented Draughtsman to produce accurate engineering drawings shop drawings and as-built documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with engineers site teams and subcontractors to ensure drawings meet technical quality and local authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce detailed civil drawings shop drawings reinforcement/steel fixing drawings and bar bending schedules from design drawings and site inputs.
• Create accurate as-built drawings and revise drawings based on site changes and RFIs.
• Translate engineering sketches specifications and calculations into CAD drawings following company and client standards.
• Coordinate drawing revisions with design engineers site engineers and subcontractors; manage drawing transmittals and version control.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE/local authority standards project specifications and construction tolerances.
• Prepare layout plans for setting out excavation shoring dewatering pipework manholes chambers and equipment foundations.
• Produce detailed drawings for precast/structural elements embedded items and installation details.
• Review subcontractor/shop drawings for conformity to project requirements and provide technical comments.
• Assist in quantity take-offs from drawings and provide input to BOQs when required.
• Maintain organized drawing files registers and archive documentation; support QA/QC processes related to drawings.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide technical drawing support to site teams.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or drafting Architectural Technology or Drafting.
• 45 years UAE/GCC experience in civil drafting for water/wastewater projects (pumping stations R.O plant treatment plants gravity networks pipelines).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) Revit (preferred) and MS Office; knowledge of Civil 3D or other CAD tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction methods reinforcement detailing pipework layout and setting out principles.
• Good reading and interpretation skills for engineering drawings specifications and standards.
• Attention to detail strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Good communication skills in English; Hindi is an advantage.
• Salary range (indicative):AED/month (depending on experience).
