Job summary

Wtsenergy in Dubai is seeking an Electrical Designer (offshore oil & gas) to prepare electrical engineering drawings, including SLDs, termination diagrams and GA layouts, and to support BOM creation and document control for engineering projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of electrical design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Excel, knowledge of IEC standards, and familiarity with hazardous areas on drilling rigs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience as an electrical designer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical drawings such as SLDs, termination drawings and GA layouts.

• Ensure compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
• Create concept SLDs for new scopes with clients.
• Learn PLC ladder logic programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider).

ELECTRICAL DESIGNER(offshore oil & gas)

Job Purpose

Preparation of electrical engineering drawings to the required industry addition the successful candidate will be required to undertake other functions related to preparation of Bill of Materials document control document archiving and maintenance of document register for engineering projects

Responsibilities

• Delivery of electrical drawings as per project requirements mainly Single Line Diagrams (SLD) Termination Drawings and General Arrangement Drawings (GA).
• Ensure timely completion of all allocated projects.
• Preparation and updating Cable Lists throughout project
• Preparation of Red-Line markups after installations
• Create concept Single Line Diagrams for new scopes to be clarified with clients
• Preparation of Bill of Material lists (BOMs) for tender evaluations and checking to ensure scope is in accordance with drawings produced and vice versa.
• Ensure all relevant standards are followed
• Assist in updating databases standards and drawing tools.
• Review rough sketches drawings and other data to ensure that they comply with design concepts.
• Receive and register documents
• Control the issuance of document numbers including maintenance of proper document registers
• Ensure proper document classification sorting filing and proper archiving
• Review completeness of documentation and prepare document transmittals
• Willingness to learn PLC ladder logic programming Siemens Allen Bradley Schneider etc.

Requirements
