Job summary

Agile Consultants in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for water treatment and environmental projects. The role focuses on producing technical submittals and ensuring compliance with regional standards.

The candidate should have 5–10+ years in industrial electrical design, strong knowledge of testing procedures, and capability to coordinate with process, mechanical, and automation teams. Dubai-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of electrical design and submittal preparation experience for industrial projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
• Knowledge of DEWA, DM, ADDC regulations and authority requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience with water/wastewater projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical submittals including SLDs, diagrams for panels (MCC, MDB, SMDB, DB), BOQs, Cable Sizing, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, Lighting & Small Power, Earthing & Lightning, Electrical Shop Drawings.
• Prepare electrical test forms (FAT, SAT, Megger Test, Continuity and Loop Test, Functional Test, Earthing Test).
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrumentation, automation and drafting teams to prepare electrical designs.
• Provide support to the Proposal, Production, and Operations teams.
• Send RFQs to suppliers for electrical work and manage supplier coordination, negotiations, and technical meetings.

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in designing electrical systems for water treatment plants, firefighting systems, and environmental service projects .

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing electrical designs and technical submittals while ensuring that designs meet applicable technical standards and client-specific requirements.

The ideal candidate should have 5–10+ years of experience in electrical design and technical submittal preparation for industrial applications , along with strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing procedures, regulations, and authority requirements.

• Design and prepare electrical technical submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams for Panels (MCC, MDB, SMDB, DB), BOQs, Cable Sizing, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, Lighting & Small Power, Earthing & Lightning, Electrical Shop Drawings, etc.
• Prepare all electrical test forms, including FAT, SAT, Megger Test, Continuity and Loop Test, Functional Test, Earthing Test, etc.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and drafting teams to prepare electrical designs.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Strong understanding of electrical components such as MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and power distribution panels.
• Excellent knowledge of regional regulations and authority requirements, including DEWA, DM, ADDC, etc.
• Proficiency in electrical testing procedures and test form preparation.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, process, automation, etc.
• Experience in water/wastewater projects or similar industrial applications is preferred.
