What You 'll Be Doing

• Conduct site inspections for street lighting, ITS, MCC, telecommunications installation and relocation works, and associated electrical and MEP interfaces.


• Verify construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans.


• Confirm that only approved materials are incorporated into permanent works.


• Monitor workmanship and identify installations that do not comply with project quality requirements.


• Process and track Inspection Requests and maintain accurate records of their status.


• Document non-conformances and monitor associated corrective actions.


• Report technical issues, construction concerns, and inspection findings to the Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer.


• Identify potential site conflicts and contribute practical technical solutions within the assigned inspection scope.

Inspection Records and Quality Control

• Maintain detailed daily site diaries and inspection records.


• Prepare and organize photographic records of inspected works.


• Maintain inspection files and prepare required reports.


• Coordinate with testing teams to support verification and acceptance activities.


• Monitor corrective work arising from inspection findings and non-conformances.


• Maintain disciplined documentation throughout inspection and close-out activities.

Multidisciplinary Site Coordination

The Electrical and Telecom Inspector will coordinate with contractors, discipline inspectors, survey teams, testing personnel, and other project stakeholders to facilitate inspections and verify construction progress. As-Built and Close-Out Support

• Support preparation and verification of as-built records.

• Assist with close-out documentation, including test records and operation and maintenance handover information.


• Maintain traceable inspection documentation supporting completed works.

Safety Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection duties in accordance with applicable project HSE requirements.


• Support established job safety practices during site activities.


• Remain aware of public safety considerations around active infrastructure works.


• Communicate observed safety concerns through the appropriate project channels.
