Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned educational activities and age-appropriate learning programs.
  • Support children's physical, emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Promote curiosity, participation, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Provide care and education according to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Encourage inclusion of every child and adapt activities as needed.
  • Observe children, record progress, and maintain Learning and Development Profile Books.
  • Prepare clear reports about children's work, progress, and development.
  • Safely supervise daily activities and communicate observations to nursery leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and support staff.

Role Context

The educator works within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to help children build a balanced foundation of knowledge, confidence, skills, and understanding. The role combines teaching, observation, safeguarding, assessment, recordkeeping, and individualized support across Emirates British Nursery locations in MotorCity, Mirdif, The Villa, and Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned educational activities and age-appropriate learning programs.
  • Support children 's physical, emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Promote curiosity, participation, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Provide care and education according to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Encourage the acceptance and inclusion of every child.
  • Adapt activities to meet varied learning and developmental needs.
  • Observe children during play, lessons, and daily routines.
  • Identify and record individual learning needs and progress.
  • Maintain accurate Learning and Development Profile Books.
  • Participate in formal and informal child assessments.
  • Prepare clear reports about children 's work, progress, and development.
  • Protect the care, welfare, health, safety, and security of all children.
  • Follow nursery safeguarding and child-protection procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate supervision throughout daily activities.
  • Communicate relevant observations and concerns to nursery leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and support colleagues.
  • Help maintain organized learning resources and classroom areas.
  • Contribute to consistent communication regarding children 's development.
  • Complete other reasonable education and care duties assigned by management.
Ideal Profile
  • University degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related specialization.
  • Degrees in another field must be accompanied by a certified Level 3 vocational qualification in early childhood care and education.
  • Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with CACHE Level 3 may be accepted.
  • Candidates applying through the high school route require at least 2 years of childcare or education experience.
  • Native-level English proficiency is required.
  • Strong understanding of children 's care, safety, and developmental needs.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Able to plan engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Committed to inclusion and adapting support for individual children.
  • Accurate when completing observations, assessments, and progress records.
  • Patient, attentive, responsible, and child-focused.
  • Currently residing in Dubai or already planning to relocate is preferred.
  • Willing to work at MotorCity, Mirdif, The Villa, or Dubai Silicon Oasis.
