Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned activities and structured learning based on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Role Context

The Nursery Teacher will create a nurturing classroom environment where young children can build confidence, independence, communication abilities, and foundational learning skills. Working within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, the teacher will plan meaningful activities, observe individual progress, maintain accurate development records, and adapt learning experiences to accommodate different abilities and needs.

Core Duties

• Deliver planned educational activities and structured learning programs based on the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Supervise children throughout classroom activities, play sessions, transitions, meals, and other nursery routines.
• Protect the safety, welfare, health, and security of every child under the nursery's care.
• Support children' s physical, emotional, social, language, and cognitive development through age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Promote independent learning by encouraging children to explore, communicate, make choices, and complete suitable tasks.
• Prepare engaging classroom resources and organize learning areas that stimulate curiosity and participation.
• Encourage the acceptance and inclusion of all children within classroom and nursery activities.
• Modify teaching methods and activities to meet individual learning needs and developmental differences.
• Observe, monitor, assess, and document each child's progress using the Learning and Development Profile Book.
• Identify emerging developmental needs and communicate relevant observations to nursery leadership and parents.
• Participate in formal assessments and prepare clear reports on children's learning, behavior, and development.
• Maintain high standards of classroom cleanliness, organization, safeguarding, and hygiene.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and nursery management.
• Carry out additional education and childcare responsibilities assigned by management.

Ideal Profile

• University degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or another specialization accompanied by a certified Level III vocational qualification in early childhood care and education.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with a certified CACHE Level 3 qualification in early childhood care and education.
• Diploma-based applicants must have at least two years of experience in childcare or early childhood education.
• Native-level English language proficiency is required.
• Sound understanding of child development, early learning, safeguarding, and inclusive education.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities for nursery-age children.
• Strong observation, assessment, reporting, and classroom management skills.
• Patient, caring, responsible, and attentive when supporting young children.
• Ability to communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and nursery leadership.
• Candidates currently residing in Dubai or already planning to relocate to Dubai are preferred.
