Job summary

The Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a diverse team with empathy and authority, and ensure exceptional service across all departments.

You will manage shifts, supervise staff, handle guest inquiries, participate in briefings, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with departments to deliver seamless guest experiences while maintaining safety and standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in hospitality operations or hotel management.
• Experience in shift management and team supervision.
• Proficient PMS and hotel operations software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen with revenue management knowledge.
• Knowledge of health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to work 24/7 roster (nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational teams across all departments and coach staff.
• Lead daily operations during shifts and ensure efficiency.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism.
• Conduct team briefings and communicate hotel updates.
• Make decisive operational decisions and manage crises.
• Monitor metrics, revenue reconciliation, and budgets.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments for seamless guest experiences.
• Assist with roster planning and scheduling within labor budget.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies.
• Monitor equipment and facilities and report maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work flexible 24/7 shifts as required.
