Job summary

Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. You will be on the floor, engage with guests, and drive high service standards while building a dynamic team.

You will manage guest feedback, budgeting, P&L, inventory, and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and health and safety standards. A hands-on leader who motivates staff and delivers memorable dining experiences is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a restaurant, bar, or Food & Beverage operation in a similar capacity.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated passion for developing and motivating people.
• Genuine focus on guest experience and a commitment to service excellence.
• Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including food service, beverage management, and table service.
• Commercial awareness with proven experience managing budgets, costs, and P&L statements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Experience in staff recruitment, scheduling, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene compliance standards.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Current food handling certification and equivalent alcohol service certification recognized in the UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency
• Coach, mentor, and develop the restaurant team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Create memorable guest experiences by maintaining service excellence and implementing best practices
• Manage guest feedback professionally and resolve service issues with empathy and decisiveness
• Oversee restaurant presentation, table management, and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage inventory, stock levels, costs, and daily operational requirements with analytical precision
• Recruit, hire, and schedule staff while maintaining optimal workforce planning and team morale
• Prepare and manage financial reports, monitor P&L performance, and control operational budgets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and kitchen staff for seamless collaboration
• Implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements specific to the UAE
