Job summary

The Special Cargo Operations Professional role in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) supports and coordinates specialized cargo operations across UAE ports, focusing on safe on-site execution, ports & customs processes, dangerous goods/IMDG cargo, Dubai Port Authorities, and other port requirements.

You will work closely with terminals, port authorities, Head Office, POL, Customer Service teams and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, DG handling permissions, and effective claims

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a similar operational role.
• Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations.
• Experience with UAE port/terminal operations, dangerous goods, claims or CFS activities.
• Arabic language capability would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Ports and Customs processes and coordinate with relevant personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dangerous goods requirements across UAE ports; obtain permissions and coordinate with HO and POL.
• Maintain knowledge of DPA and UAE port processes; communicate changes to concerned departments and HO.
• Report incidents and coordinate with surveyors; manage claims costs for recovery.
• Coordinate with CFS on container reworking and documentation for general and perishable cargo.
