Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Welding and FJC Equipment in Dubai, UAE to provide technical leadership for specialized pipeline welding and Field Joint Coating equipment used across onshore and offshore applications.

The role requires extensive hands‑on expertise with automatic welding systems, pipeline equipment, and offshore installation operations, with relocation to Dubai/Jebel Ali as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team.
• Hands‑on experience with pipeline equipment installation and maintenance.
• Experience with offshore pipelay using S-lay/J-lay methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, maintenance, and deployment of welding and FJC equipment.
• Provide equipment engineering support for onshore and offshore pipelines.
• Define robust, reliable equipment solutions for harsh environments.
• Coordinate with project teams and suppliers on equipment readiness.
• Support offshore installation campaigns and commissioning activities.
