Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants is assisting a Dubai-based shipping equipment company to hire a Senior Accountant. You will manage the full accounting cycle, prepare financial reports, and support budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or similar position.
• Experience in medium to large organizations with annual turnover AED 100–150 million or above.
• End-to-end exposure across accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and analysis.
• Experience coordinating or supervising an accounting team while reporting to Finance Manager or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting cycle and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate daily activities of the accounting team and support Finance Manager.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Monitor general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Analyze financial performance and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audits.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and cash flow.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
