Job summary

Al-Futtaim in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is hiring a Retail Sales Representative - Customer Experience to engage customers, drive sales, and uphold store standards. You will guide product information, perform POS transactions, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

The role requires 1-2 years in retail, strong communication, and a passion for service. You will support daily operations, assist management, and help maintain pricing accuracy and presentation across the store.

Qualifications

High School Degree or equivalent qualification.
1-2 years retail sales experience.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated customer service capability in a face-to-face retail environment.
Experience using Point of Sale systems.
Ability to learn and communicate detailed product information.
Comfortable working against weekly sales goals.
Strong awareness of store cleanliness, presentation, and organization.

Responsibilities

Approach arriving customers promptly and provide a friendly, professional welcome.
Identify customer needs through active conversation and recommend relevant products based on individual preferences.
Maintain sufficient knowledge of merchandise, product categories, pricing, and current offers to provide accurate information.
Assist customers throughout their visit and provide timely follow-up when additional support is required.
Deliver attentive fitting room service where applicable and help customers locate alternative products or options.
Encourage suitable additional purchases while keeping recommendations relevant to customer needs.
Work toward assigned weekly sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
Complete customer purchases accurately and efficiently through the Point of Sale system.
Maintain an orderly cash wrap and ensure customers receive prompt transaction service.
Follow approved pricing and ticketing controls to minimize errors and prevent avoidable losses.
Support the Store Manager with opening, closing, security, and routine operational activities.
Provide operational cover when assigned during the Store Manager's absence.
Guide new employees on POS procedures and assist with correcting routine transaction issues.
Participate in scheduled inventories and support accurate merchandise counting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready sales environment throughout the working day.
Ensure merchandise and customer-facing areas remain consistent with required store presentation standards.
Follow the required dress code and maintain a professional appearance that reflects the brand.
Attend store meetings and contribute constructively to operational discussions.
Complete housekeeping and other reasonable store duties assigned by management.
Follow company policies, operating procedures, and security requirements consistently.
Maintain punctual attendance and comply with designated shift schedules.
Cooperate with colleagues and management to handle changing customer volumes and operational priorities.
Thank customers at the end of their visit and encourage them to return.
