Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, UAE is seeking a detail-oriented Project Surveyor to manage quantity surveying activities for building projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget control, and thorough documentation. You will work with project teams to deliver precise measurements, cost analyses, and reports that support project success and client satisfaction.

You will conduct takeoffs from drawings, prepare Bills of Quantities, analyze costs, monitor budgets, and maintain detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the buildings sector.
• Strong expertise in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and budget analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying

Responsibilities

• Conduct measurements and quantity takeoffs from drawings for building projects.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Analyze project costs and develop comprehensive cost reports and forecasts.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances with recommendations for cost control.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including specifications, schedules, and cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate information and timely delivery.
• Review contracts and tender documents to identify cost implications and risks.
• Utilize quantity surveying software and tools to support analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide professional advice on cost-related matters to stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of variation orders and change orders.
