Job summary

BID Operations in Dubai seeks an experienced IT Operations Technician to provide day-to-day technical support to employees, resolve hardware and software issues, and manage service desk tickets. You will assist with onboarding, access management, and device configuration in a fast-paced international environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of IT support experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and hands-on work with Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, VPN, and basic MDM

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of IT support, service desk, helpdesk, desktop support, or IT operations support experience.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM ticketing systems, preferably Jira Service Management.
• Basic understanding of SLA, ticket priority, and escalation timelines.
• Knowledge of Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, and endpoint troubleshooting.
• Basic exposure to MDM tools such as Intune or Jamf is an advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, prioritize, and follow up on assigned tickets in a timely manner.
• Respond to and resolve incident tickets including hardware, software, network, printer, email, login, and access issues.
• Handle service requests such as user account setup, password resets, software installations, and device prep.
• Ensure tickets are documented with troubleshooting steps, resolution notes, and closure details.
• Follow SLA requirements and escalate when needed.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and standard apps.
• Support Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, email, VPN, Wi-Fi, and productivity tools.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and account provisioning.
• Maintain IT asset records and support history; prepare user guides as needed.
