Job summary

SUMER CONTRACTING COMPANY L.L.C in Dubai seeks an Accountant with 3–5 years UAE experience in construction to manage day-to-day financial activities. You’ll handle invoicing, reconciliations, payroll support, and budgeting, ensuring VAT compliance and accurate project costing.

Immediate, full-time, on-site role with strong career growth opportunities. Experience in the construction sector and a relevant accounting degree are required; ACCA/CMA/CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in accounting/finance is preferred.
• ACCA/CMA/CPA or equivalent is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
• Monitor project-related costs, expenses, and budgets.
• Maintain records of construction project expenses and subcontractor payments.
• Prepare and review supplier, subcontractor, and client accounts.
• Assist with payroll and other financial administration when required.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and applicable accounting regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, clients, and management.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
• Support management with financial reports and accounting information as required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, etc.) will be an advantage
