Job summary

Domus Al Khaleej Cement Products Industries SP LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, project costing, and reporting for construction projects. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable and maintain project financial records.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, construction accounting experience, and strong Excel and accounting software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, subcontractor accounting, and construction financial procedures.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, expenses, and profitability.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and project cost reports.
• Track subcontractor payments, invoices, retention amounts, and payment certificates.
• Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices against contracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor construction project budgets and identify cost variances.
• Maintain accurate records of project-related financial transactions.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and project financial planning.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and project accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
• Support audits and provide financial documentation when required.
