Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in a similar scheduling or workshop-control role.
• Degree or diploma in any field.
• Experience in an automotive workshop is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review open repair orders and identify the work required for each vehicle.
• Allocate repair jobs to appropriate technicians and production lines.
• Match assignments with technician skills, certification levels, workload, and job complexity.
• Prioritise urgent repairs, customer commitments, and operational requirements.
• Balance workshop capacity to avoid excessive workloads or unnecessary technician downtime.
• Confirm that the required tools, equipment, parts, and technical information are available.
• Reassign work when conditions change and update schedules accordingly.
• Support efficient movement of vehicles through inspection, repair, quality control, and completion stages.
• Maintain clear visibility of current and upcoming workshop workloads.
• Ensure assigned jobs are completed according to approved time standards.
• Prepare and maintain daily workshop repair schedules.
• Update scheduling records and monitor progress throughout the day.
• Coordinate with Workshop Controllers, Service Advisors, and parts team.
• Ensure documentation and records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Promote safe, compliant, and efficient workshop practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity targets.
