Job summary

ZEISS Group in Dubai is seeking an Accountant (AP Specialist) to manage supplier invoices, expenses, and supplier relationships, ensuring timely processing and accurate financial records.

You will support month-end close, VAT and corporate tax documentation, and audit preparation, working with ERP SAP and Excel to produce reliable reports.

This role requires ACCA/CPA or equivalent, a degree in accounting, and fluent English, with strong attention to detail and good communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent.
• ACCA or CPA qualification is required.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience supporting audit preparation with internal or external auditors.
• Knowledge of VAT and tax documentation and compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or local GAAP and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, travel claims and expense reports.
• Monitor operating expenses and prepare cost centre reports with variance analysis.
• Support budget and forecast preparation and monitor variances.
• Complete month-end and year-end closing activities with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger postings in ERP systems and supporting schedules.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Support VAT returns and corporate tax filings with necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
