GEMS Royal Dubai School is seeking a dynamic Art & Design Technician to support teachers in the Secondary phase from January 2027. You will prepare labs, equipment, and displays, assist with DT/ART/Food activities, and maintain safe, organized spaces for smooth lessons.

The role requires strong English communication, basic IT/CAD knowledge, and prior experience with children or as a teaching assistant. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Good level of general education especially in Math and English.
• First aid certificate.
• Health and safety training using DT equipment and machinery.
• Strong communication skills with excellent standard of written and spoken English.
• Able to handle a range of tasks, work under pressure and relate well to children and colleagues.
• Basic knowledge of IT and/or CAD (computer aided design).
• Experience in some form of practical subject/profession;
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children.

• Organise stock and resources.
• Create work displays and assist with preparation of displays
• Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are always followed.
• Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical workday, where the tasks require additional commitment.

Job Purpose

Assist teachers in their work as directed. A Technician will be asked to assist with a range of tasks on a regular basis
