Job summary

AVS Shipbrokers LLC in Dubai is seeking a Dry Bulk Chartering Manager / Chartering Broker to drive revenue growth through new business origination, client relationship development and profitable fixtures.

You will manage the full voyage process, negotiate charters, COAs and laytime, coordinate with operations, and contribute to expansion across markets. Fluency in English and a proven commercial track record are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Dry Bulk Chartering, Shipbroking or Commercial Shipping.
• Demonstrated track record of business development and fixture generation.
• Established network among charterers, traders, cargo owners, shipowners or operators.
• Strong understanding of Voyage Charters, Time Charters, COAs, Charter Parties, Laytime & Demurrage, Vessel Operations, Freight Market Dynamics.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong negotiation, communication and commercial skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with charterers, traders, cargo owners, shipowners or operators.
• Originate cargo and vessel opportunities within Dry Bulk markets.
• Negotiate voyage charters, time charters and COAs.
• Manage the fixture process from inquiry to recap and handover.
• Prepare freight ideas, voyage calculations and commercial proposals.
• Monitor market developments and identify profitable opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records and commercial pipeline visibility.
• Coordinate with Post-Fixing and Operations for voyage execution.
• Support business development and expansion into new markets.
• Achieve agreed commercial and financial targets.
