Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in Dubai seeks a seasoned Chartering Manager to lead project cargo bookings and carrier coordination in the Middle East region. You will collaborate with Project Logistics and Chartering specialists, work with local and global offices, and travel to project sites as needed.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with offices and carriers, ensuring best-in-class service, and leveraging an international, performance-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Several years of chartering experience.
• An established network within the chartering industry.
• Experience in booking project cargoes on multipurpose vessels.
• Experience with BIMCO contracts such as CONLINE BOOKING NOTE, GENCON, NYPE and BALTIME and the usual terms and conditions related to these contracts.

Responsibilities

• Based in Dubai, handle requests and bookings for the offices in the region, coordinating with local and global offices.
• Visit project offices; travel within the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa as needed.
• Form close relationships with offices to provide best-in-class service, participate in customer meetings, and build a strong carrier network as the main contact to the carrier market.
• This is a highly independent role with support from the global team and local colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Based in Dubai, you will together with your colleagues – Project Logistics as well as Chartering specialists – handle the requests and bookings for the offices in the region working closely with the local DSV offices, but also worldwide
• While this can be done from your desk, part of your job will also be to visit the different project offices. This might take you travelling primarily within Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa.
• An important part of your work will be to form close working relationships with the different offices, enabling you to provide them with best-in‑class service. This may also mean participating in customer meetings to support the business. Furthermore, you will build, maintain and further develop a strong network with the various carriers as you will be the main contact for your colleagues to the carrier market.
• This is a highly independent role with plenty of opportunity to make your mark. However, your team is always there for you, both the colleagues you share an office with as well as the rest of the global team online.

Qualifications & Characteristics

• Several years of chartering experience
• An established network within the chartering industry
• Experience in booking project cargoes on multipurpose vessels
• Experience with BIMCO contracts such as CONLINE BOOKING NOTE, GENCON, NYPE and BALTIME and the usual terms and conditions related to these contracts and the multipurpose market
• Great communication skills in English
