Job summary

Client of Spinnaker Global Limited is expanding its Dubai office and seeks an experienced operations professional in dry bulk. The role focuses on managing voyages from fixture to completion and acting as the operational link between chartering desks, owners, charterers, agents, and port authorities.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in dry bulk operations, strong knowledge of charter party terms, laytime, demurrage, and market dynamics, plus excellent numerical, analytical, and communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dry bulk operations.
• Solid understanding of charter party terms, laytime and demurrage calculations.
• Strong grasp of dry bulk market dynamics and vessel types.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vessels/voyages simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant shipping software/systems and MS Office (Excel in particular).
• Degree educated (Maritime, Business, or related field preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
• Based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational execution of dry bulk voyages from fixture to completion.
• Act as the key operational link between the chartering desk and owners/chaterers/agents.
• Liaise daily with owners/chaterers/agents and port authorities to coordinate vessel operations.
• Monitor vessel positions laycan schedules loading discharging operations and port activities.
• Prepare and check voyage instructions statements of facts laytime calculations and demurrage despatch claims.
• Ensure compliance with charter party terms and resolve operational discrepancies as they arise.
• Liaise with P&I clubs surveyors and other third parties where required.
• Maintain accurate voyage records and support timely invoicing and claims settlement.
• Provide close support to the chartering broking desk bridging commercial and operational workflows.

An established international dry bulk shipping and chartering house with a strong global presence are expanding its Dubai office and are looking for an experienced operations individual This role would suit someone currently working in dry bulk operations You ll bring a strong commercial and market understanding from the broking side applying that to the operational management of dry bulk voyages working closely with chartering desks owners charterers agents and other counterparties to ensure smooth voyage execution from fixture through to completion
