Role Summary

The Draftsman - Civil CAD is responsible for preparing and updating detailed engineering drawings that support construction and design execution. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams to maintain project efficiency and documentation integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings including plans, sections, profiles, and construction details
• Develop construction drawings based on IFC, tender documents, and authority‑approved submissions
• Update drawings according to site conditions, RFIs, and engineering feedback
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, and site teams to incorporate design modifications
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, CAD standards, and authority regulations
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and file naming standards for proper version control
• Produce as‑built drawings using approved redline markups and site data
• Assist in preparing shop drawings, utility layouts, and coordination drawings
• Perform quantity take‑offs and basic measurements from drawings when required
• Ensure timely submission of drawings in accordance with project timelines
• Organize and archive drawing files for easy access and retrieval
• Support coordination across civil, structural, and MEP disciplines
• Follow QA and QC procedures to maintain drafting accuracy and quality

Ideal Profile

• Strong experience in civil CAD drafting within infrastructure or transportation projects
• Familiarity with UAE authority standards such as RTA and Dubai Municipality
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience working on multidisciplinary project environments
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions under tight deadlines
