Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) seeks a skilled Infra Draughtsman to produce accurate infrastructure and civil drawings for projects in Dubai. You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors and project teams to convert designs into clear construction drawings.

Key responsibilities include drafting roads, drainage, utilities and earthworks, preparing plans, sections and cross-sections, and ensuring revisions are properly controlled and aligned with project standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in civil engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years Infra/Civil Draughtsman experience on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, and earthworks.
• Prepare plans, sections, and typical cross-sections.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, structural, MEP, and utilities.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Check drawings for accuracy and clashes.
• Support site engineers with quantity take-offs and technical documentation when required.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Infra Draughtsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and detailed plans for infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The candidate will work closely with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to convert engineering designs and site information into clear construction drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed infrastructure and civil drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Develop drawings for roads, drainage, stormwater networks, sewerage, water supply, utilities, grading, and earthworks.
• Prepare plans, profiles, sections, details, and typical cross-sections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, survey data, specifications, and design calculations.
• Incorporate revisions and maintain updated as-built drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, structural, MEP, and utility requirements.
• Check drawings for dimensions, levels, coordinates, clashes, and drafting accuracy.
• Prepare shop drawings and construction drawings in accordance with project standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers and surveyors to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and applicable standards.
• Support engineers with quantity take-offs and preparation of technical documentation when required.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as an Infra/Civil Draughtsman, preferably on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with infrastructure drafting and civil engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of road, drainage, utility, and earthwork drawings.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and survey information.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BIM software and/or MicroStation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC infrastructure projects and authority requirements.
• Good understanding of levels, coordinates, chainage, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineers and site teams.
