Job summary

Azizi Developments in the UAE seeks an experienced Draftsman – Infrastructure to produce and maintain precise drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, and external works. You will work with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Surveyors, Consultants, and site teams to ensure drawings meet approved designs, specifications, and local standards.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, with Civil 3D knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience as Infrastructure/Civil Draftsman in construction.
• Experience in infrastructure and civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD mandatory.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, external works.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, surveyors, and site teams.
• Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and modify detailed infrastructure and civil drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, pavements, kerbs, footpaths, and external infrastructure works.
• Develop detailed plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Surveyors, Consultants, and site teams.
• Review drawings and incorporate revisions based on instructions, consultant comments, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution and approved changes.
• Ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with project specs, standards, and authority requirements.
• Assist the engineering and site teams in resolving drawing-related technical and coordination issues.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, submissions, and approvals.
• Coordinate with relevant disciplines to identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clearly presented, and issued within project timelines.
• Support the project team during inspections, site coordination meetings, and technical discussions.
• Liaise with consultants and contractors for drawing submissions, revisions, and clarifications.
• Maintain proper document control and ensure the latest approved drawings are used at site.

As a Draftsman – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for preparing, developing, and maintaining accurate technical drawings for infrastructure and civil works. You will work closely with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Surveyors, Consultants, and site teams to ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, site requirements, and applicable standards. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in infrastructure projects, with good knowledge of roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and external works.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an Infrastructure / Civil Draftsman in the construction industry.
• Mandatory experience in infrastructure and civil construction projects.
• Strong experience in preparing drawings for roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and external works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil and infrastructure drawings, construction details, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, survey data, and site requirements.
• Previous UAE/GCC experience is preferred, with knowledge of local construction standards and practices.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, consultants, contractors, surveyors, and site teams.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work within project deadlines.
