Job summary

Dorchester Collection Dubai seeks a Director of Events to lead the hotels' events strategy, drive revenue and nurture a high‑performance team delivering luxury service.

You will collaborate with Revenue, F&B, Finance and Front Office to build and execute an annual Sales budget while upholding We Care values and the brand’s legendary guest experience.

A track record in managing events for premium brands and a passion for mentorship are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant university diploma and extensive experience in events for a luxury group in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of hotel systems, including Opera and Power BI.
• Proven leadership of events sales teams to meet financial and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the events sales department to meet financial, business, and marketing goals set by senior leadership.
• Oversee the events sales department and coordinate with Revenue, F&B, Finance and Front Office.
• Develop and execute an annual Sales budget in collaboration with other departments.
• Mentor and develop talents within the events team.
• Communicate strategic vision and goals clearly to the team for improved performance.
• Provide regular data to Executive Committee for planning and forecasts.
• Coordinate with external vendors and manage supplier relationships for events.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and permits for events.
• Oversee Groups & Events budgeting, invoicing, and contract administration.
• Maintain high service standards while coordinating multiple events simultaneously.
