Job summary

ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Head of IS Risk Management to oversee the full spectrum of information security risk management, reviewing risk frameworks and guiding risk decisions across the organization.

You will lead cyber risk assessments, threat intelligence, vulnerability reviews, and control implementation across all business units, while reporting KPI dashboards to senior management and aligning with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of banking and financial institutions processes, and information security technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in technology or related field; master's preferred.
• Experience in banking/financial services is advantageous.
• Familiar with GRC tools and risk management platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NESA, SWIFT CSP, PCI DSS and related standards.
• CISSP or CRISC certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cybersecurity risk assessment for services, processes and technologies.
• Review threat intelligence reports and reflect findings to identify risks.
• Review vulnerability assessments and pen tests for risk implications.
• Identify and prioritize risk scenarios and report to management.
• Ensure risk assessments follow internal policies and external regulations.
• Oversee risk monitoring plans with business units and mitigations.
• Implement systems/tools to automate end-to-end risk management.
• Collaborate on policy/procedure improvements aligned with findings.
• Present risk status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead risk-related projects, including secure coding/testing integrations.
• Develop and confirm KPI reports for risk management.
• Drive remediation initiatives to reduce risk to acceptable levels.
• Communicate risk status and remediation plans to stakeholders.
