Job summary

ALEC Building is seeking a Digital Construction Coordinator in the UAE to lead BIM coordination, information management, and the delivery of complex projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data quality, implement BIM workflows, and manage project information through CDEs.

Responsibilities include 3D coordination, QA/QC of models, and supporting project reporting and continuous improvement of digital construction processes.

Qualifications

• ISO 19650 knowledge and information management experience.
• Proficient in BIM authoring and coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto).
• Experience with openBIM standards (IFC/COBie) and cloud CDEs (Aconex/Autodesk Docs).
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office proficiency and strong communication across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and delivery of project information requirements.
• Assist in documenting client exchange information requirements.
• Develop and maintain information management resources, including execution plans and schedules.
• Monitor and maintain the project's CDE/EDMS.
• Set up and manage BIM workflows from contract award to handover.
• Carry out 3D spatial coordination and report clashes to stakeholders.
• Provide BIM training and day-to-day support to project teams.
• Conduct QA/QC on BIM models and information deliverables.
• Contribute to project reporting and continuous improvement of digital processes.
• Apply technical expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes; undertake other duties as required.

About Your Team

The Digital Construction team plays a key role in enabling project success through effective BIM implementation, model coordination, and information management. We foster a collaborative environment where innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence help deliver smarter and more connected construction projects.

Your Role

As a Digital Construction Coordinator, you will

• Support the communication and delivery of project information requirements internally and externally.
• Assist in ensuring client exchange information requirements are met and properly documented.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of information management resources, including execution plans, responsibility matrices, and delivery schedules.
• Help monitor and maintain the project’s Common Data Environment (CDE) and electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Support the setup and management of BIM workflows from contract award through to handover of deliverables.
• Undertake 3D spatial coordination using BIM software, reporting clashes and issues to project stakeholders.
• Provide training and day-to-day support on BIM processes, use cases, and digital tools to project teams.
• Carry out QA/QC checks on BIM models and information deliverables from internal teams and subcontractors.
• Contribute to project-level reporting, tender support, and the continuous improvement of digital construction processes.
• Apply technical expertise and discipline-specific knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes within your area of specialisation.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business.

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of ISO 19650 & Information Management (IM) processes.
• Proficiency with BIM authoring tools (Revit, Tekla, Archicad) & coordination software (Navisworks, Revizto).
• Understanding of openBIM standards such as Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) & Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie).
• Experience with cloud-based CDE platforms (Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud Docs).
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational & problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Exposure to automated model checking & data validation tools (e.g., Solibri).
• Familiarity with visual programming (Python, Dynamo) and 4D/5D BIM processes.
• Experience with data management & reporting platforms (Microsoft Power BI).
• Analytical, resilient, & adaptable with a positive, collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn & develop professionally.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or
• 5+ years experience
