Job summary

Apparel Group - UAE is seeking a fashion designer to create and visualize designs with CAD tools and stay ahead of trends. You will plan seasonal ranges and collaborate with buyers to align concepts with market needs.

You will translate creative concepts into technically feasible garments, liaising with sourcing and planning teams to ensure fit, cost, and timing. Proactive multitasking and strong design sense are essential.

Qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design using computer-aided design (CAD).
• Well versed in latest designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.).
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Planning and developing ranges.
• Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Understanding design from a technical perspective.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach
