Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai is seeking a fashion designer with strong CAD skills to visualize and produce designs, using Illustrator and Photoshop to realise concepts and stay ahead of trends.

You will plan ranges, work with buyers and forecasters to meet briefs, and liaise with buying and planning teams to ensure items fit customers and price points. A proactive multitasker with solid technical design understanding is required.

Responsibilities

• Create or visualize designs using CAD; translate concepts into production-ready styles.
• Stay updated on fashion and fabric trends, colours, and shapes.
• Plan and develop ranges for upcoming seasons.
• Collaborate with buyers and forecasters to meet a brief.
• Liaise with buying and planning teams to ensure alignment with customer, market, and price points.
• Apply technical design understanding to ensure feasibility and fit.

• Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design using computer-aided design (CAD).
• Well versed in latest designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc.).
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Planning and developing ranges.
• Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Understanding design from a technical perspective.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach.
