Job summary

Apparel Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a creative fashion designer to visualize and develop apparel ideas using CAD, and to translate concepts into market-ready designs.

You will stay current with trends, plan ranges, collaborate with buyers and forecasters, and work closely with buying and planning teams to ensure the product fits customer needs and price points, with a proactive multitasking mindset.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD and design software (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Ability to read and translate fashion trends into designs and ranges.
• Experience collaborating with buyers/forecasters to meet briefs.

Responsibilities

• Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design using CAD.
• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes.
• Planning and developing ranges.
• Working with buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet a brief.
• Liaising closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
• Understanding design from a technical perspective.
• Readiness to multitask and should have a proactive approach.
