Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Al Ain invites applications for a hardworking cook to join our Food & Beverage team. You will prepare meals, portion and garnish, regulate oven temperatures, and ensure recipes meet quality and presentation standards.

You will maintain food logs, assist management with hiring and training, follow safety procedures, and communicate clearly with staff to address guest needs. This is a full-time, non-management kitchen role requiring physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality/quantity of food.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
