Job summary

The Luxury Collection in Ajman, UAE, is seeking a dedicated, non-management cook for full-time hours in our hotel kitchen. You will prepare meals, regulate ovens and grills, monitor quality, and support the chef during busy periods while upholding safety standards.

Preferred qualifications include a technical or vocational school degree and at least 3 years of related experience; no supervisory duties are required. Fluency in English is preferred in our diverse guest environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related work experience: at least 3 years.
• Supervisory experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and substitute items.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temps.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigerator.
• Ensure correct portions, presentation, and garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality.
• Assist during busy periods and inform Chef of excess items.
• Inform staff of specials and out-of-stock items.
• Follow safety policies and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Stand or walk for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Support management in hiring/training/scheduling staff.
