Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai DIFC is seeking a Non-Management cook to prepare meals, regulate ovens and grills, thaw frozen items, and ensure proper portions, presentation, and garnish according to recipes and standards.

You'll assist in hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating team members; follow all safety policies; maintain professional appearance; protect assets; and uphold The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards to create memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have technical/trade/vocational education.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Ability to follow recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and regulate oven temperatures.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish; maintain food logs.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out of stock items; monitor quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
