Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai seeks a Demi Chef de Partie to join the Sunvibe Kitchen in the In Room Dining setup. You will assist senior chefs, supervise during absences, and ensure timely food preparation to the highest quality and food safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a 5-star or fine-dining environment and holds hospitality qualifications. English communication is essential; Arabic is a plus. Long hours in a luxury hotel team environment are expected.

Qualifications

• High School qualification or equivalent.
• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary arts is preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a 5-star or fine-dining restaurant.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in daily duties and oversee responsibilities in absence.
• Wash and prepare ingredients for production.
• Ensure mise en place is prepared to the highest quality and follow plating guides.
• Follow dish descriptions, cooking methods and presentation images.
• Manage requisitions and organize storage areas.
