Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a hospital courier to support delivery and handling of medical supplies within the UAE. You will follow infection control and safety policies, participate in training, and maintain confidentiality in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a UAE driver’s license with a clean record, and good communication skills to coordinate with hospital staff and pharmacy teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid UAE driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local road network within the UAE.
• Good physical fitness to lift and carry medical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to organization regulations and policies, especially infection control and safety procedures.
• Participates in safety trainings and OSHMS compliance.

• Cooperates with Pharmacy and NMCRH Sharjah to ensure OSHMS compliance.

Job description

1. Work in all shifts as scheduled by the Head of Department.

• Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related

• to infection control, patient safety, OSHMS, SHA, JCI and ISO.

• Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.

• Participates and contributes to scheduled in-service training programs.

a. Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.

• Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.

• a. Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.

I. Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them

II. Carries out other duties when requested by the Head of department.

• General Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Responsibilities, Authority & Accountabilities of the position includes;

• Familiarize Themselves and comply with all OSH and Infection Control policies, standards and procedures that are relevant for their workplace

• Work in accordance with the documented occupational, safety and health procedures and instructions, specifically basic OSH rules for safe cargo handling and road transport.

• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems and follow safe working procedures

• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures

• Not wilfully or recklessly endanger anyone's health and safety. Take reasonable care for the health and safety of persons that may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at the workplace.

• Assist with the preparation of risk assessments

• Attend applicable safety training and follow OSHMS policies and procedures.

• Take reasonable care of their own health and safety

• Cooperate with Pharmacy with respect to any action taken by the NMCRH Sharjah to comply with OSHMS requirements.
