Job Summary
We are seeking a senior technical resource with strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration and comprehensive knowledge of the Oracle technology stack. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing Oracle Databases on Exadata, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) within a mission-critical, regulated enterprise environment. This role demands technical excellence, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the Application Support teams, Development teams, IT Infrastructure teams and Product Owner.
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Databases (12c/18c/19c) and Oracle EBS environments.
- Hands-on expertise in applying patches to Oracle RAC and Oracle EBS (R12.x) environments.
- Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Monitor database health using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other tools.
- Provide support for Exadata OS C Database Patching
Application Support
- Manage Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) including patching, cloning, and concurrent manager tuning.
- Support deployments, upgrades, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot issues across database, application, and web tiers.
WebLogic Administration
- Configure and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments.
- Monitor and tune JVM performance and thread management.
- Cloning and Patching, Upgrade Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6 and above.
- Manage, Install, configure, patch and upgrade BIP server 11g and above.
Security s Compliance
- Implement database security policies, access controls, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain audit trails and support regulatory reporting.
Integration s Automation
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL and shell scripts for automation and monitoring.
Collaboration s Leadership
- Work closely with developers, system admins, and business analysts.
- Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills s Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 8 -10 years of experience in Oracle DBA, role with strong exposure to Oracle Applications and WebLogic.
- Expertise in Technologies C Common Tools
- Database: Oracle /12c/18c/19c/21c, RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data guard
- Middleware: WebLogic 12c, Fusion Middleware, WLST
- Replication: Oracle Golden Gate 12c/19c
- Monitoring s Performance tuning: OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), OEM Cloud Control, AWR, ADDM
- Scripting: Bash, Shell, Python, WLST, PL/SQL
- Oracle Apps: E-Business Suite R12.2.X
- OS: Linux/Unix (RHEL, Oracle Linux), Windows Server
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Addition skills (Preferred)
- Experience with MS SQL / Azure SQL / My SQL, Server administration.
- Deploy and manage Java-based applications.
- Goldengate 21c with Micro service Architecture
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and DevOps practices.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administration
- Oracle WebLogic Server Certification
- ITIL Foundation (optional)
