Job summary

Gerab National Enterprises is seeking a Senior Oracle Core DBA to lead the administration of Oracle databases, ensure high availability, and implement disaster recovery strategies. The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and MySQL environments, along with strong performance tuning and scripting skills.

You will upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot production databases, design DR solutions, and collaborate with application and security teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Core DBA.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in Oracle upgrades, migrations, patching, and high-availability solutions.
• Experience administering both Oracle and MySQL database environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, upgrade and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC environments including installation, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Design, implement and administer Oracle Data Guard for Disaster Recovery.
• Configure and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate and related architectures.
• Perform database performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADD M and SQL tuning tools.
• Monitor and optimize SQL performance, resources, memory, IO.
• Perform Oracle database patching, RU upgrades, and migrations.
• Execute backup/recovery using RMAN and validate recovery procedures.
• Database cloning, data pump export/import, and refresh activities.
• Administer ASM, Grid Infrastructure and Oracle Restart environments.
• Install, configure, administer and troubleshoot MySQL databases and replication.

• Monitor and optimize SQL performance database resources memory storage and I O
• Perform Oracle database patching Release Updates RU upgrades and migration activities
• Execute backup and recovery using RMAN and validate recovery procedures
• Perform database cloning Data Pump export import and database refresh activities
• Administer ASM Oracle Clusterware Oracle Grid Infrastructure and Oracle Restart environments

• Participate in planned maintenance activities and provide on‑call support when required
