Job summary

Emerald Zebra is assisting a fintech group to hire a Chief Technology Officer based in Dubai or Malaysia. You will own engineering strategy, platform reliability and architecture across two businesses, guiding cloud-native practices and data platforms.

The role focuses on security, compliance and scalable, high-availability trading infrastructure. You will partner with the CPO, define strategic tech roadmaps, drive AI-enabled engineering and ensure regulatory readiness for DFSA licensing across

Qualifications

• Twelve plus years of technology leadership experience in fintech or trading.
• Proven track record scaling engineering across distributed hubs.
• Deep knowledge of CFD, prop trading infrastructure and broker tech.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and real-time data infra.
• Strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, risk and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the group’s long-term technology strategy and roadmap.
• Own platform reliability, including SLOs, observability and incident response.
• Lead architecture decisions for shared infrastructure and product delivery.
• Oversee DFSA licensing readiness, data sovereignty and compliance posture.
• Build and mature engineering culture across multiple countries and roles.
