Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Executive Chef preferably within a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
• Proven track record of creating innovative menu options.
• Ability to lead a team of cooks and effectively manage their activities.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local cuisine & international trends in cooking methods.
• Thorough understanding of health regulations regarding food preparation & storage.
• Proficiency in English language is essential; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop new menu options that are creative and appealing to customers.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen staff and associated activities.
• Design efficient operational systems that ensure quality and hygiene standards are met.
• Monitor food costs, staffing levels, and budgeting in order to maximize profits.
• Oversee daily purchasing decisions, including vendors selection, inventory management, and quality control.
• Train cooks on new techniques and recipes to maintain high standards for food quality.
• Communicate with customers regarding their feedback on food quality and service.
• Ensure compliance with all health regulations regarding food preparation and storage.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers in order to ensure the best quality produce at the best prices.
