Job summary

GRATA International seeks an experienced legal professional to join the production team by negotiating, drafting, and editing corporate and commercial documents. You will work directly with clients, take instructions from partners, and discharge duties independently with a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law from a common law system teaching institution.
• Master's degree in law preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience.
• Native English or fluent legal practice in English for at least 5 years.
• Qualified or eligible to practice as a legal counsel in Dubai.
• Ability to meet reasonable financial targets as set.
• Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
• Strong and persuasive character.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Demonstrate key achievements during an interview.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Negotiate commercial and corporate contract provisions in clients' favor.
• Draft and edit contracts and agreements of all types.
• Prepare and file applications to local authorities and regulators.
• Communicate with government agencies and regulators.
• Coordinate with other law firms and professional service providers when required.
• Keep clients updated regularly through acceptable communication channels.
• Prepare and submit summary reports for each project.
• Maintain assignments list aligned with timelines.
• Keep timesheets and report activities to senior partners.
• Take responsibility for own work.
• Any other tasks relevant to the responsibilities.
