Job summary

Schneider Electric - UAE is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contractual matters across Tender and Execution phases. You will negotiate main contracts with Tender and Sales teams, coordinate with Legal, and support variation orders and claims while ensuring compliance with group policies.

You will guide risk reviews, review terms, and contribute to best practices in contract management, working closely with project teams to minimize risk and maximize successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of contract management experience in a project environment or project/finance management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, or Law.
• Strong knowledge of Project Management, Legal, and Risk Assessment.
• Contract Management Certification or equivalent.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tender phase: Negotiate main contractual documents with Tender and Sales teams with SME support; monitor commitments, liabilities, variation orders; highlight risks and ensure policy compliance; review terms and conditions per engagement rules with Legal and SRM.
• Execution phase: Assist project managers in contractual matters with customers/subcontractors; draft contractual correspondence with Legal; support CPP change order, claim management; help defend claims and advise on suspension notices during execution to optimize recoveries.

Key Responsibilities Tender phase

• Negotiate main contractual documents with Tender and Sales teams with the support and assessment of all required SMEs Monitor contractual commitments Coming into Force Liabilities claims and Variation orders et al Review and highlight key contractual and or operational risks to ensure compliances to Schneider Electric policies Perform contract reviews including terms and conditions in accordance with the rules of engagement and in consultation with Legal and SRM Solution Risk Manager Perform GAP analysis of final contracts against agreed and approved mandate

Key Responsibilities Execution Phase

• Support project managers in contractual matters with both customers and subcontractors in a timely and effective manner Draft contractual correspondence in consultation with Legal as required Support the deployment of corporate guidelines CPP change order amp claim management and best practices Assists PM to defend claims if any such as LDs stand by cost made against SE Advise on the implementation of suspension notices during execution and recommend strategies to optimize Schneider Electric s capacity to claim compensations in case of suspension or termination
