Job summary

Duncan & Ross in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced contracts professional to manage EPC, procurement and risk across the project lifecycle. The role covers verification of payment claims, contract variations, and interfacing with EPC contractors and vendors.

You will lead negotiations, oversee final accounts with EPC contractors, manage procurement for construction and O&M of gas-fired plants, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management and strategic sourcing, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record in vendor contract negotiations including EPC contracts, supply agreements and long-term service agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all contracts and agreements during project execution including handling payment claims, variation orders and contract disputes.
  • Responsible for verification of monthly payment claims, timely issue of payment response and invoices from EPC contractors & vendors.
  • Maintain project financial guarantees and insurances documents, follow up to ensure validity and authentication.
  • Assist Project Director for final accounts settlement with EPC Contractors.
  • Manage procurement categories including EPC construction works and OEM components, including Gas Turbines and Balance of Plant.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and flag supply risks that may impact timelines or operations.
  • Serve as liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders for procurement in the CCGT project.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain and provide timely advice to internal teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and optimize pricing and terms with suppliers when needed.
  • Drive savings through procurement best practices and prepare reports/cost analyses to support decisions.

Job description

This role is responsible to provide comprehensive contract management and oversight to safeguard the interests of the Developers throughout the projects lifecycle particularly in interactions with off-taker EPC contractor suppliers and addition to monitoring the EPC procurement and supply chain performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders for procurement activities in the CCGT project.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain and provide timely advice to internal teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and optimize pricing and terms with suppliers when/where needed.
  • Drive savings through effective negotiation and procurement best practices.
  • Prepare reports and cost analyses to support procurement decisions.
KEY QUALICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in business Engineering Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management and strategic sourcing experience preferably in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record in vendor contract negotiations including EPC contracts supply agreements and long-term service agreement
  • Hands-on experience in procurement for construction and/or O&M of gas-fired power plants
  • Industry experience in utilities and/or construction sectors is preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP Material Management (MM) modules is a plus
