PROJECT CONTRACTS MANAGER
Overview
Owns the supplier contract process from tender evaluation through to the closure of the execution contract for products, services, construction, and engineering services. Ensures compliance with policies, standards, procedures, and contractual obligations while working closely with Contracts, Legal, Finance, Tax, HSE, Sourcing, Procurement, Operations, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish supplier contracts to implement project strategy and maximize contractual protection, including back‑to‑back flow‑downs.
- Assist in drafting, revising, negotiating, and approving global and strategic supplier contracts.
- Collaborate with Contracts/Legal, Finance, Tax, HSE, Sourcing, Procurement, Operations, and other departments to identify, analyze, and address commercial and contractual risks.
- Participate in all tender and execution PLG and CME gates.
- Engage key stakeholders, including Executive Sponsors, to propose drafts, negotiate terms, approve processes, and implement agreement templates, appendices, and procedures.
- Finalize contracts for signature once all parties have agreed.
- Negotiate and resolve contractual disputes within the Global Category, coordinating with Legal and Supply Chain Management.
- Review and discuss proposed draft contracts with stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax, HSE, and other functional requirements.
- Benchmark performance and audit suppliers with key stakeholders.
- Provide contracts guidance and support to Sourcing Specialists.
- Manage Global Category contracts in Ariba and produce reports on contract status.
- Ensure and monitor compliance with all policies, standards, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to the legal department’s knowledge‑management program by capturing and sharing lessons learned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of contracts management or project execution experience, with demonstrable knowledge of construction SOW.
- Prior work experience in Production Facility / EPCC projects.
- Civil engineering background is an advantage.
- Experience in EPCC projects.
- Variation order management expertise.
- Contract and legal review skills.
