The Contract Procurement Specialist will provide procurement governance across the full purchasing lifecycle, from approved requisitions and sourcing strategy through supplier selection, award, purchase order management, delivery monitoring, and closeout. The role requires close coordination with Buyers, Procurement Coordinators, project teams, technical evaluators, finance personnel, and suppliers. Effective oversight will help improve competition, strengthen commercial controls, reduce procurement delays, manage supplier risk, and ensure purchasing decisions remain transparent, compliant, and properly documented.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain activities. Applicants should have demonstrated responsibility for overseeing end-to-end procurement processes and reviewing work produced by Buyers, Procurement Coordinators, or project procurement teams. Strong knowledge of competitive sourcing, supplier qualification, commercial evaluation, purchase order administration, procurement governance, and closeout procedures is essential. Candidates must be able to identify sourcing risks, questionable pricing, procedural gaps, supplier concerns, and unsupported award recommendations using independent commercial judgment. Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, project management, or professional services environments will be advantageous. Previous responsibility for monitoring procurement portfolios, compliance indicators, sourcing cycle times, supplier performance, or management dashboards will add value. Professional qualifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent procurement certification are desirable.
