Allocation Assist Middle East seeks a Consultant OBGYN – Minimally Invasive Surgery in Dubai. You will provide specialist obstetric and gynecologic care, lead high-risk pregnancies and perform advanced laparoscopic procedures in a modern clinical setting.

The role requires a recognized medical degree with specialist qualification, fellowship/board certification, and a minimum of five years as a consultant. DHA licensing is preferred. Female candidates are preferred for operational reasons.

Role Context

The Consultant OBGYN provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care with particular responsibility for advanced minimally invasive surgery.

The role combines management of pregnancy, childbirth and reproductive health conditions with laparoscopic treatment of complex gynecological disorders.

A significant part of the position involves selecting appropriate surgical approaches that reduce tissue trauma, shorten recovery and improve patient outcomes.

The consultant also manages high-risk pregnancies, performs operative deliveries and contributes specialist expertise to multidisciplinary decisions involving fertility, pelvic pathology and complex women's health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultations across obstetrics and gynecology.
• Assess and manage women presenting with routine and complex gynecological conditions.
• Deliver antenatal care for normal and high-risk pregnancies.

• Use minimally invasive techniques where clinically appropriate to reduce surgical morbidity.
• Assess patients for suitability for laparoscopic or alternative surgical management.
• Diagnose and treat uterine fibroids using appropriate medical and surgical pathways.
• Manage endometriosis according to disease severity, symptoms and reproductive goals.
• Evaluate and treat ovarian cysts and other adnexal conditions.
• Assess infertility-related gynecological conditions and coordinate further reproductive care when required.
• Develop surgical plans based on imaging, examination findings and patient preferences.
• Counsel patients regarding operative options, expected outcomes and potential procedural risks.
• Obtain informed consent before surgical or invasive treatment.
• Coordinate perioperative care with anesthesia, nursing and surgical teams.
• Collaborate with radiology, fertility, maternal-fetal medicine and other specialties when complex care is required.
• Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of consultations, procedures and follow-up plans.
• Apply DHA requirements and relevant international clinical standards to daily practice.
• Follow surgical safety, infection prevention and patient confidentiality protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits focused on outcomes and quality of care.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
• Support medical education and knowledge sharing within the clinical team.
• Maintain continuing professional development in laparoscopic surgery and women's health.
• Stay current with evolving minimally invasive gynecological techniques and evidence-based obstetric practice.

Ideal Profile

The position requires a recognized medical degree together with specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Candidates should hold Fellowship or Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and demonstrate advanced formal training in laparoscopic gynecological surgery. At least five years of consultant-level experience is required, with substantial exposure to both obstetric management and minimally invasive gynecological procedures. The successful consultant should be comfortable managing complex laparoscopic cases involving conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian pathology while also maintaining strong expertise in antenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management and operative obstetrics.

An active DHA license or eligibility to obtain DHA licensing is preferred.

Female candidates are preferred according to the operational requirements of the position.
