A leading tertiary‑care hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist to join its Neurosciences and Radiology Institute. The successful candidate will deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic neuro‑interventional procedures for adults and children.

You will perform thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, AVM/AVF embolization, carotid stenting, tumor embolization, and spinal vascular interventions, mentor junior radiologists, and collaborate with neurology,

Qualifications

• MD/MBBS from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Radiology (American Board / Royal College / Arab Board).
• Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology / Endovascular Neurosurgery.
• Eligibility for DOH/HAAD Consultant licensure in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of neuro‑interventional procedures (thrombectomy, coiling, embolization).
• Lead and mentor radiology staff, fellows, and technologists.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and emergency medicine teams.
• Develop and update clinical pathways, protocols, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke and neurovascular boards and on‑call coverage.

Position Overview

A leading tertiary‑care hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an accomplished Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist to join its Neurosciences and Radiology Institute. The successful candidate will deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic neuro‑interventional procedures for both adult and pediatric patients, while contributing to service expansion, multidisciplinary excellence, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of neuro‑interventional procedures, including:


• Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke


• Aneurysm coiling and flow‑diversion


• AVM/AVF embolization


• Tumor embolization


• Carotid and intracranial stenting


• Spinal vascular interventions


• Interpret advanced neuro‑imaging studies (CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, DSA)


• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for complex neurovascular conditions


• Participate in 24/7 stroke and neuro‑interventional on‑call coverage


• Collaborate closely with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and emergency medicine teams


• Contribute to strategic development of the neuro‑interventional service


• Develop and update clinical pathways, protocols, and quality‑improvement initiatives


• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke and neurovascular boards


• Mentor junior radiologists, fellows, and technologists

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution


• Board Certification in Radiology (American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent)


• Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology / Endovascular Neurosurgery


• Minimum 8–10 years of post‑specialization experience, including consultant‑level practice


• Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH/HAAD) Consultant licensure


• Demonstrated expertise in advanced neuro‑interventional and stroke procedures


• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills


• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
