Role Context
The Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist is responsible for delivering minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for neurovascular disorders, ensuring precision, patient safety, and optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced neuro-interventional procedures including thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, embolization, and stenting
- Interpret neuroimaging studies such as CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, and DSA
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for complex neurovascular cases
- Participate in on-call coverage for stroke and neuro-interventional emergencies
- Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care teams for integrated patient care
- Contribute to development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and neurovascular boards
- Mentor junior radiologists, fellows, and technical staff
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding procedures and care plans
- Engage in research, teaching, and continuing medical education activities
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree with specialization in Radiology
- Board certification in Radiology from a recognized authority
- Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology or Endovascular Neurosurgery
- Minimum 8-10 years of consultant-level experience
- Proven expertise in advanced neuro-interventional procedures
- Eligibility for DOH or UAE licensing authority
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
