Astra ProMed seeks a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading Abu Dhabi healthcare facility. You will diagnose and manage complex GI disorders, perform advanced endoscopy, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has extensive GI/hepatology experience, strong clinical judgment and leadership, and DOH eligibility for Abu Dhabi. A competitive package and licensing support are offered.

Qualificações

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine with a Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology; international qualifications desirable.
• DOH Consultant eligibility requirements for Abu Dhabi.
• Strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and hepatology.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and digestive disorders.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and therapeutic endoscopic procedures within privileges.
• Diagnose and treat GERD, peptic ulcers, IBD, and IBS.
• Manage liver diseases, hepatitis, cirrhosis, and GI complications.
• Evaluate and treat GI bleeding, abdominal pain, and digestive emergencies.
• Provide endoscopic biopsies, polypectomy, and other GI interventions.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in gastrointestinal disorders, hepatology, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and digestive disease management. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, advanced procedural skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and digestive disorders.
• Perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, and therapeutic endoscopic procedures within authorized clinical privileges.
• Diagnose and treat GERD, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
• Manage liver diseases, hepatitis, cirrhosis, and gastrointestinal complications.
• Evaluate and treat gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, and digestive emergencies.
• Perform endoscopic biopsies, polypectomy, and other gastrointestinal interventions.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and gastrointestinal diagnostic tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic digestive diseases.
• Provide preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening and surveillance.
• Collaborate with general surgeons, hepatologists, oncologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, endoscopy safety protocols, infection control, and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, followed by appropriate fellowship or subspecialty training in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification in Gastroenterology.
• American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience meeting DOH Consultant eligibility requirements.
• Strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, gastrointestinal disease management, and hepatology.
• Excellent clinical judgment, procedural skills, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Eligible for DOH Consultant Gastroenterology classification/license in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
